Sample a variety of country pursuits during your stay at Kinloch with a Bespoke Wilderness Package. You'll get a chance to try your hand at foraging, deer stalking and fly fishing. Each quest takes place in some of the most majestic scenery in the UK and is steeped in tradition and lore. Kinloch’s own Ghillie acts as your personal guide and driver, sharing his knowledge and providing great ‘craic’.
Bespoke Wilderness Packages can be designed to include any combination of our wilderness activities for any length of stay.
Meet your guide for a morning or afternoon amble along the shore of Loch na Dal, and through the native forest that surrounds the lodge; both provide bountiful opportunities for foraging. The crop depends on the season but with every step there are mouth-watering morsels to be uncovered; edible mushrooms, wild garlic and sorrel in the forest, and along the shoreline, delicious seaweeds, mussels, samphire and scurvy grass. Your adventure will be sustained by freshly picked nibbles and refreshing brews, like Bog Myrtle Tea, made on an open fire.
On returning to the hotel, enjoy a well-earned reward: seasonal foraged cocktail (or mocktail).
Set off early in the morning with a packed Kinloch breakfast to the stalking grounds for the break of a beautiful dawn. As the deer return to the shelter of the forest after roaming the hills overnight guests will be walking, watching and waiting for that clear shot – whether it’s with a rifle or a camera.
Venture with our ghillie to an idyllic, peaceful fishing location, where the we will provide casting tuition if required, and show you the best flies, most prolific spots and help with technique to give you the best chance of catching these wild wonders of the water.
All packages include breakfast and dinner for the length of your stay. Contact us to create your own Bespoke Wilderness Package.
