Our Ethos

Much has changed on our magical island since we first opened our doors but our ethos at Kinloch has remained the same: a commitment to seasonal eating, sustainability and allowing local suppliers and their bounty to shine.

Our aim is to bring guests from around Scotland, the UK and the world an experience that coexists in harmony with our community and our environment. Whether it’s by joining our ghillie for a forage down by the shore, or experiencing the majesty of our local wildlife such as otters, golden eagles and more, we hope your visit will bring you the simple and irreplaceable joy that comes from connecting with the natural world around you.

Our commitment to sustaining our spectacular, yet fragile ecosystem is at the heart of everything we do. Much of what you find on your table comes from our kitchen garden and polytunnels, our natural spring that provides fresh filtered water to all of our guests, or our extraordinarily dedicated local suppliers.

Together, we are custodians of the land and sea around us. Sustainability is a journey, and one we hope you’ll join us on.
