General Manager, Jamie Williams, is a passionate whisky aficionado and leads informal and informative whisky tastings, he believes whisky to be the greatest Scottish product for the way it brings people together.
Kinloch’s cosy whisky bar is the setting for the tastings and Jamie guides guests through many different malts and blends – all from Scotland – be it Smoky, Rich, Delicate or Light.
From the well-known to the obscure, guests can get out of their ‘whisky comfort zone’ and learn how the flavour is affected by the type of distilling process, time in the barrel, type of casks and the water source.
Guests and non-residents can choose an hour-long tasting, sampling four malts from different regions in Scotland.
Guests and non-residents can choose a 1.5 hour session that includes food pairings that are enhanced by, and enhance, whisky.
There’s also a Whisky Experience Package which includes a two-night dinner, bed and breakfast break, the Whisky and Food Pairing Experience, a tour of Skye’s two distilleries, Talisker and Toravaig, and a bottle of Talisker Storm in your room.
