When it comes to Sunday lunch, Kinloch Lodge keep it simple; a traditional roast, a relaxing drink or two and feet-up beside a log fire … heaven! There’s even an optional whisky tasting.
Launching on October 27th, it sounds like the perfect way to spend a Sunday and for those who don’t live locally there’s a discounted Sunday Lunch Sleepover rate which includes lunch, whisky tasting, light supper and Kinloch’s award-winning breakfast.
On the menu you’ll find a twist on traditional favourites like Prawn Cocktail made with Isle of Skye langoustine & West Coast Crab. Highland favourites like Black Isle lamb take the star turn on the main courses, served with all the trimmings of course, while classics like Apple Pie and a Cheese board make up the final course.
Marcello Tully’s food will be first-class, but Sundays at Kinloch are about more than just the food. Famed for their ‘our home is your home hospitality’, guests are invited to arrive early and work up an appetite with a walk around the garden, or through the forest and over Kinloch hill where the views across the Sound of Sleat are truly magnificent. After lunch, you’re encouraged to relax, perhaps with the Sunday papers, in front of a roaring open fire in one of three charming drawing rooms each furnished with historic paintings and family antiques.
What else are Sunday’s made for? Well, tasting whisky in Kinloch’s cosy Talisker bar of course! Taste and learn about a selection of the 180 whiskies that make up Kinloch’s collection, guided by their general manager and whisky connoisseur, Jamie Williams.
The Sunday Lunch Sleepover Package costs from £199pp and includes a three-course lunch, a light supper and breakfast. Guests are welcome to come just for lunch, three-courses for £45 or £80 with the whisky tasting. Booking is essential.
